Digital based management of women’s Cooperatives in Kamonyi District.

Following the long journey of Umuryango wo Gushyigikira AMAkoperative (UGAMA) and 7 women cooperatives in Kamonyi District, computerized their everyday financial management for improving profitability.

A project titled “GUHANGA IBISHYA BIRAMBYE” empowered the women’s cooperatives to thrive the production, marketing, and networking through Fair Trade and Social Solidarity Economy. At the core of this initiative lies a commitment to empower women cooperative members as the protagonists of their collective journeys. Through collaborative efforts, women are not only enhancing the sustainability and autonomy of their cooperatives but also fostering a culture of solidarity and mutual support.  One of the groundbreaking aspects was the creation of a network among the 7 cooperatives, a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and resources to enhance the Fair-Trade principles application.

 

Training to improve management tools and financial literacy for women.

Moreover, Women member’s cooperatives improved in their management practices, conflict resolution abilities, financial literacy, and marketing skills. Not only are they becoming more self-reliant, but they are also contributing to the overall development of their communities.

 

As we witness the transformative journey of these women’s cooperatives in Kamonyi District, it becomes evident that sustainable development is not merely a goal but a tangible reality. Through collaboration, empowerment, and adherence to ethical principles, these women are rewriting the narrative of their lives and inspiring change far beyond their cooperative boundaries.
