Brief achievement of UGAMA

UGAMA is a strong local organization that changes the lives of community through. They have also played tangible role in cooperative policy making, coaching of cooperatives in various axes.

2012 – 2017 Growing the food security through the cooperative development in Rwanda by increasing the food security and growing resilience in cooperative members; promoting good governance and equity in cooperative and putting the cooperative farmers in the driver’s seat for 15 maize and rice cooperatives in Muhanga, Bugesera, Nyanza, Gisagara, Kamonyi and Ruhango Districts Rice and maize value chain and market linkage developed in cooperative COPRORIZ-ABAHUZABIKORWA Mukunguri and IABM-Makera through establishment of rice mill (MURPIC), maize processing mill and storages facilities.

Contruction of 15 warehouse for maize and race stores in 15 cooperatives in Muhanga, Kamonyi and Ruhango Districts

Solid governance and organization mechanisms were established through creation of professionalism, entrepreneurship and market integration ability of cooperatives.
